The year 2010 can be reasonably considered intense by the significance of events and information trends, having taken place both on the territory of the Russian Federation and on the international arena.
In order to mark off these events and exactly define their contribution in mass media creation Analytical and Monitoring Department of IA Integrum conducted an express-research, results of which vividly demonstrate the structure of the most exciting topics for the press.
As for the Russian Federation the key events were:
«Skolkovo» project (30,6 thousand publications)
Population census (29,7 thousand publications)
Program on scrappage of old motor vehicles (21,6 thousand publications).
The mass media also paid much attention to the events going on in the world outside the borders of Russia.
The key foreign events in the Russian press were:
Election of Viktor Yanukovich on the post of the Ukrainian President (74,9 thousand publications)
Olympics in Vancouver (69,1 thousand publications)
Revolution in Kirghizia (42,7 thousand publications)
